We are looking for native speakers across multiple language markets to join Meitu’s freelance localization network. You will support the translation, review, and refinement of AI-translated and localized content — helping ensure our products feel natural, culturally appropriate, and native to users in each local market.

This is a remote, project-based freelance opportunity, with assignments offered based on project needs and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Proofread and refine AI-translated strings across the app, including buttons, dialogs, notifications, settings, banners, and toasts, to ensure accuracy, fluency, consistency, and an appropriate tone of voice.
• Review localized product and UI copy for contextual accuracy, naturalness, terminology consistency, cultural appropriateness, and other language-quality issues.
• Review in-app copy to ensure it aligns with local language conventions, user preferences, and cultural norms. Identify content that feels unnatural, culturally insensitive, or inappropriate for the target market.
• Translate, review, and localize marketing content, including promotional materials, App Store listings, push notifications, in-app campaigns, and social media content.
• Follow project-specific terminology, style guides, and localization requirements to maintain consistent, high-quality output.

Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in your target language, with an excellent command of grammar, idiomatic expressions, and cultural nuances.
• Strong English comprehension and professional experience translating or reviewing content from English into your native language.
• Experience in translation, proofreading, editing, localization, or linguistic review.
• Experience in app, software, website, UI, marketing, or other digital-content localization is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify translation errors, terminology inconsistencies, unnatural wording, formatting issues, and cultural mismatches.
• Familiarity with CAT tools and AI-assisted translation or MTPE workflows is preferred.
• Strong copywriting and transcreation skills are a plus, particularly for marketing and user-facing content.
